Camera Shots Quiz!!!!!!

We were instructed to tell a short story using only 15 shots, most of which were specific types that were required for the assignment but some were up to my partner and I.

My partner and I chose to portray a familiar story most can relate to but from a fresh, unique perspective. We decided to shoot a story about a water bottle getting left behind in class, showcasing the true betrayal the bottle feels in this heart-breaking scenario.

I believe me and my partner did well in productively and positively building off of each other’s ideas on how to incorporate certain required shots while still staying true to building the story we wanted. We had a LOT of fun creating an absurdly dramatic story about a sad water bottle, with my personal favorite shot being the close-up of my cute pink Owala crying. However, with the time restraint it was very difficult to create and shoot a story before the class period ended. We had to work very fast and I believe we did well, but naturally I know with more time we could’ve created something way more creative and unique to us. It was also difficult on deciding which shots were best to convey ideas that would progress our story while still being visually interesting due to the fact there were only 15 shots allowed.

Here’s our story called “H2Oh…you left me” I hope you enjoy!

Hi! Welcome to Alana's Bubbly Blog!

Hi, my name is Alana and this is my fun little blog! I created this blog for my AICE Media Studies class. I joined the class as I've always loved films, music, and comics, and wanted to be a lot more knowledgeable on the subject. In my spare time I absolutely adore watching Youtube video essays on how films are made, scene breakdowns, and character analysis videos. This lovely blog will also be used to document my progress throughout the course and hopefully show my growing media literacy skills.

I hope you stick around to see my jolly little updates!
